Secrets of the Millionaire Mind by T. Harv Eker
I’ve always been fascinated by the power of the mind and how to create and manifest abundance and financial freedom. T. Harv Eker’s book – Secrets of the Millionaire Mind: Mastering The Inner Game of Wealth is definitely high up on my list. And I’ve read MANY books on this topic and reviewed several here on this blog already.
This book was incredibly impactful when I picked it up 23 years ago (The book came out in 2005.) A lot of the content in the book I definitely related to – such as the difference in how people with an abundance of money think differently from people without.
And how the people you associate with will definitely impact your financial future. As I love to say – “You are the 9 people you hang out with.” And if 9 of those people are broke, guess who’s gonna be the 10th? Yep, that might be you. Hence, you gotta pick up a copy of this book.
Even though it came out a while ago, the messages in Eker’s book still ring true today. If you’ve read Rich Dad, Poor Dad, you will definitely get much more from this book.
Eker sprinkles wealth principles throughout the book, taking the important messages and highlighting them for you. Then at the end of each chapter, he gives you a declaration you need to say and millionaire mind actions to take.
At the heart of creating financial success is taking a closer look at your mind and the behaviors you were taught about money while growing up. And your attitude toward people who have wealth. If you despise wealthy people, you are repelling money. Remember, money is energy. It flows to those who appreciate and take care of it. As well as share it and help others.
On a more personal note, I ended up working with Eker 6 years later after I read his book. I worked with one of his companies from 2011 – 2013. It was an amazing ride being around such a big thinker and an inspiration on how to run and market a successful business. The most fun was when we had our team meeting at Eker’s home in Maui to celebrate our successes over the past two years. I’d highly recommend his book. To this day, I practice, rinse and repeat all of his principles, and they do work on many levels.
